carrying gifts
filling stockings
cleaning up the Christmas evidence
sitting on the couch in the lights of the Chirstmas tree
alone
with your hot chocolate
thinking about how even when there was a Mr. Clause
there wasn’t actually very much helping
so was that
training?

I need a cartoonist
for this greeting card
depicting the
emotional
labor
of being a
single mom in training
and then
of being a
single mom

But I can handle writing the copy.

“Happy Holidays!” the front of the card would read
and the inside would be simply stated, with a

“Fuck You”

in a holiday cursive font, of course.
